Backplane Systems Technology is pleased to release iBASE Technology’s new IDOOH-210-IR 21.5″ Outdoor Sunlight Readable Industrial Panel PC.

The IDOOH-210-IR has been designed for deployment in an outdoor environment, with its 21.5″ sunlight readable display. The Panel Pc features 24 hour operation in extended temperature environments and is rated for temperatures from -40°C and up to +50°C. The IDOOH-210-IR is also IP65 rated meaning it is both dust-tight and water resistant.

The IDOOH-210-IR is powered by Intel’s Atom E3845 1.91GHz Quad-Core CPU which is perfect for outdoor applications, where the processor is required to be powerful as well as very low power consumption.

The IDOOH-210-IR has many features that make it perfect for deployment in outdoor environment such as the Infrared Touch Screen. The infrared technology enables it to be used in environments where a normal touch screen would not be suitable for example cold environments where gloves must be worn. An IR touch screen uses light to pick up movements not the actual physical touch like in a resistive or capacitive touch technology.

The display on the IDOOH-210-IR is IK06 Vandal-proof glass which is harder to damage than a traditional touch screen, making it perfect for applications like outdoor kiosks, digital signage and ticketing machines.
