Backplane Systems Technology is pleased to present Winmates M900Q8. The Winmate M900 Series is one of the only 8-inch fully-rugged tablet platforms that are available in Windows 10 and Android variants. The versions have the same layout, build quality, brilliant display, customizable buttons, and a very durable design that also provides outstanding ergonomics and grip. The Windows version uses an Intel processor, whereas the Android version uses an ARM processor. There are, nevertheless, small differences in ports and settings.

The Winmate M900Q8’s processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, which was created with the goal of providing users with the performance they expected from a high-end phone in a tightly integrated module. Regrettably, the pace of technological development on the ARM/Android side is just as rapid as it is on the Windows side.

Rugged tablets used in a wide range of locations and environments need to have a high-quality display with sufficient brightness. The Winmate M900Q8’s 8-inch screen gives substantially more display space than any of the smartphones for which the majority of Android apps are created, and the additional space can be used to good use in the development of custom applications. Moreover, the display has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, or 189 PPI (pixels per inch). It is sufficiently incisive for the intended use.
