Backplane Systems Technology is proud to present MPL’s TX2FX, which can be used as Data Diode. To use the TX2FX as Data Diode two TX2FX-12C2 are required, one acts as Transmitter the other one as Receiver. This solution offers a unidirectional data transfer of up to 1GBit available on standard RJ45 copper ports. The offered solution can be used as an open frame version or built into a CEC housing.

Data diodes are commonly found in high-security military and government environments and are now becoming widely spread in sectors like oil & gas, water/wastewater, airplanes (between flight control units and in-flight entertainment systems), manufacturing, and cloud connectivity for industrial IoT.

The hardware enforces physical unidirectionality, and the software replicates databases and emulates protocol servers to handle bidirectional communication. Data Diodes are capable of transferring multiple protocols and data types simultaneously. A unique characteristic is that data is transferred deterministically (to predetermined locations) with a protocol “break” that allows the data to be transferred through the data diode.

Key Features:

  • Robust and Flexible Design
  • Suitable for Multiple Industrial Environments
  • Cost-Effective Rugged Solution
